Kyiv, July 18, 2012 – Terrorists are preventing the carrying out of an open international investigation of the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 crash and are interfering with the work of Ukrainian professionals on site. This was stated by Andriy Lysenko, Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council information center spokesman, during a briefing at Ukraine Crisis Media Center.

Parts of the plane and bodies of the deceased are located on the territory, which is temporarily being controlled by the mercenaries. Departments of the State Emergency Situations Service of Ukraine are working on the location of the tragedy, however all of their actions are being controlled by the Russian mercenaries. “The people are working at gunpoint,” Lysenko said. The terrorists are confiscating all evidence. They have announced the intention to take the “black boxes” and bodies of the victims to Russia.

“We cannot allow the disappearance of evidences. The world has to be aware of the reasons of the tragedy,” said the information center spokesman.

Meanwhile in Luhansk, the terrorists have gone from spreading fear among the civilians to looting and earnest murder of the civilians. According to the Luhansk city council, today several buses, which were supposed to gather the refugees, were shot at in the city streets. Besides, the bandits are opening fire at the passers-by from cars. According to preliminary information, about twenty dead people remain on the streets of the city. The terrorists do not allow the bodies to be removed before the arrival of Russian TV journalists. The killed are presented as victims of Ukrainian soldiers.

Lysenko emphasised that ATO forces have never attacked or shot at living quarters.

The mercenaries use fougasse mines on the roads which serve not only for the transportation of military equipment, but civilian vehicles as well. The NSDC is asking the citizens to remain cautious and stay at home, if possible.

Meanwhile ATO forces are tightening the siege with the goal of blocking the cities and regions which are temporarily being controlled by the mercenaries. As of today, military action is underway around Lysychansk, Severodonetsk, Luhansk and Dzerzhynsk. The terrorists continue to practice shooting from “Grad” systems and mine launchers at the living quarters of the city. ATO forces are successful in rebuking the terrorists’ attacks on the roadblocks and basic points, and are causing significant losses among the mercenaries. Shooting of Marynivka checkpoint continues for four days now. Entire groups and military equipment of the Russian mercenaries are being destroyed with response fire.
