How to get accredited and get a press card in the ATO zone

STEP 1
If a media representative has not been accredited with the Security Service of Ukraine or was accredited over 6 months ago, he/she needs to send an email to [email protected], attach the scanned copy of the journalist’s national passport, journalist’s press card and the attestation from the media authorizing the media representative to go to the ATO zone.

If a media representative was accredited with the Security Service of Ukraine over the last 6 months, he/she needs to call the Press Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine at +38 063 447 15 57 to confirm the accreditation and arrange the convenient date and time to get the accreditation card. The Department renders services to English-speaking journalists as well.

STEP 2
To receive the card in the ATO zone
After the accreditation has been confirmed the next day after all the requested documents (see Step 1) have been submitted a media representative can receive the card by addressing the ATO press center in Kramatorsk at: +380986713040[email protected].ua. The center renders services to English-speaking journalists as well.

Receive the card at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in Kyiv, 6 Povitroflotsky Prospect.

STEP 3
Notify the ATO press officer (renders services to English-speaking journalists as well) by phone by 18.00 the day before: +38 098 671 30 40 to get quicker access to the military facilities.
