ATO spokesman: Militants attack Ukrainian positions near Dutovka mine

Kyiv, February 26, 2015. Russia-backed militants attacked positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Dutovka mine in the area of Pisky in the late evening February 25; however, to no avail.Anatoliy Stelmakh, ATO Staff spokesman, stated via Skype at a briefing at Ukraine Crisis Media Center. Another incident was recorded at 23:45 near Pisky when militants used small arms. “There was No other ceasefire violations were recorded over the night,” added the ATO Staff spokesman.

No firing incidents occurred over the night at the Mariupol, Luhansk and Debaltseve directions.

Pro-Russian insurgents fired at the positions of ATO forces and at peaceful localities with small arms, twice from tanks 7 times over the last day; they also used mortars once. Two skirmishes between the militants and Ukrainian servicemen have occurred as well. Ukrainian Armed Forces rebuffed all attacks.

Militants deployed their UAVs seven times to conduct aerial reconnaissance in the Mariupol area and once near Stary Aidar in the Luhansk region.
