BloodMobile is perfect and does not require any improvement – expert

The new “BloodMobile” has already traveled twice to the ATO zone to deliver blood to rescue Ukrainian servicemen. Fundraising started on December 6, 2016. The required amount of money (UAH 500,000) was collected in a record amount of time – one and a half months. “The rest of time we spent on choosing and buying a car, repairing it and purchasing equipment,” said Oksana Tyupa, chairman of the Board of Dyvosvit Club Charitable Fund, during a press briefing at the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center. The legalization of the car, in particular at the customs, also took a lot of time.

Fundraising was carried out on the People’s Project online platform. The amounts of contributions were different – from 100 hryvnias to several thousand dollars. “One of the tranches was from Malta, about $10 thousand,” – said Mrs. Tyupa. The money came from America, Russia, Europe, and Africa.

Bloodmobile works in two directions – blood delivery to the ATO zone and disaster medicine. The latter direction is a pilot: the car is included in the South Poltava hospital district. “It is not always possible to have the necessary reserves of blood,” said Rostyslav Zauralskyi, author of the project “Circumabolism”, advisor to the Minister of Health of Ukraine, candidate of medical sciences, a member of the Board of the Association of Efferentologists of Ukraine.

BloodMobile has twice traveled to the ATO zone. “We try to maximize the use of the machine because its value is very high … Money was collected by the whole world and it is a great responsibility,” – said Mr. Zauralskyi.
