Andriy Lysenko: Ukrainian military began to withdraw weaponry under 100 mm caliber in Luhansk region

Kyiv, October 5, 2015. Today begins the next stage of the Minsk agreements’ implementation –withdrawal of weaponry under 100 mm caliber in Luhansk region. Such weaponry  must be located more than 15 kilometers from the demarcation line. The Ukrainian side has already handed over lists of weaponry and military equipment to the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission. “During the first phase, the Ukrainian military will withdraw T-64 and T-72 tanks, 85 mm-caliber D-48 and D-44 antitank guns, and 82 mm-caliber mortars. The withdrawal of weapons in the Donetsk region will begin in 15 days,” said the spokesperson of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine on ATO-related issues Colonel Andriy Lysenko at a press briefing at Ukraine Crisis Media Center.

The truce in eastern Ukraine continues. “Yesterday one enemy provocation was recorded near Hranitne in the Mariupol sector. The enemy opened fire from a grenade launcher there,” said Colonel Lysenko. During the last 24 hours no Ukrainian servicemen were killed or wounded. “Our border guards recorded a flight of one enemy drone in the Donetsk region,” informed Colonel Lysenko.
