Militants attacks decreased, mostly they shell area nearby Mariupol in Donetsk region. Ukraine’s Security Service found and liquidated another enemy’s information network.
Kyiv, April 22, 2016. The majority of militants’ provocations, reaching the number of 15, took place in the Mariupol sector in the ATO zone yesterday, said spokesman of Presidential Administration on ATO-related issues Colonel Andriy Lysenko at a press briefing at Ukraine Crisis Media Center. “Militants mostly violated the ceasefire in Mariinka and Shyrokyne. ATO troops responded with fire several times,” he said.
Five attacks conducted by Russia-backed militant groups took place in the Luhansk sector yesterday. Militants were traditionally active near Stanytsia Luhanska. “Closed control checkpoint came under fire yet another time. Moreover, militants’ provocations took place in Triokhizbenka and Zolote,” said Col. Lysenko. Ten attacks of ATO troops conducted by militants took place in the Donetsk sector yesterday, every second involved use of mortar launchers. Luhanske, Horlivka agglomerate (Zaitseve, Kirove), Verkhniotoretske and Avdiivka were ‘flashpoints’ at the frontline,” elaborated the spokesman.
Ukrainian Armed Forces incurred no losses in combat yesterday, two servicemen were wounded. “This took place in Verkhniotoretske as a result of enemy’s shelling,” elaborated Col. Lysenko.
The Security Service of Ukraine liquidated militants’ informant network. Four criminals were acting on the territory of Stanytsia Luhanska district. “They collected information on proceeding and location of Ukrainian military equipment and manpower and transferred it to their “curator”, informed the spokesman.
