Andriy Lysenko: militants’ armistice violations decrease, only six armed provocations take place

Kyiv, May 2, 2016. Militants committed considerably less violation of armistice in the ATO zone yesterday. The total of six provocations along the entire front line took place. In the Luhansk sector militants used small arms and a grenade launcher near Novozvanivka. Moreover, they shot from small arms and grenade launchers at the area near Avdiivka in the Donetsk sector. Four provocations more took place in the Mariupol sector. “Militants located in the vicinity of Kominternive were shooting from anti-aircraft mount and a grenade launcher at ATO troops’ positions near Vodiane and from a grenade launcher at Ukrainian troops near Talakivka. Two provocations more were registered at Ukrainian strongholds near Hranitne. Militants used anti-aircraft mount and a grenade launcher,” informed the spokesman of the Presidential Administration on ATO related issues Colonel Andriy Lysenko at a press briefing at Ukraine Crisis Media Center. He added that Ukrainian Armed Forces incurred no casualties in combat yesterday.

Col. Lysenko also said that the military reconnaissance established new facts of delivery of weapons and military equipment to militants from the territory of Russia. “Ten armored personnel carriers were transported from Izvaryne towards Luhansk recently after they were repaired on the territory of Russia. Moreover, it is planned that a special forces detachment ‘Rys’ (Eng.: ‘lynx’) of the federal service of the National Guard of Russia under command of Vladislav Yershov will arrive at Luhansk tomorrow,” said the spokesman. He explained that the main task of this subdivision will be exerting pressure upon criminal entourage of the chief of the self-proclaimed ‘Luhansk people’s republic’ Plotnitskiy.
According to Col. Lysenko, two more Russian servicemen from subversive reconnaissance group died in the ATO zone. They were active in the vicinity of Vesele village in Donetsk region.
