“Ukrainian Armed Forces incurred these casualties in hostile shooting attacks in Avdiivka and Vodiane in Mariupol sector. Unfortunately, one casualty is a servicewoman, and her condition is critical,” informed Ukrainian Ministry of Defense spokesman on ATO Colonel Andriy Lysenko at a press briefing at Ukraine Crisis Media Center.

In Mariupol sector militants conducted a total of 20 ceasefire violations, including three mortar attacks in Vodiane and Shyrokyne. Russian proxies perform regular small arms provocations practically along the entire frontline in the southern area. The enemy violated the ceasefire in Novotroitske once, while Maryinka district was peaceful yesterday.

In Luhansk sector militants started the day with two simultaneous artillery attacks at Ukrainian positions near Novozvanivka and Troitske. In total, Russian proxies were firing for 25 minutes and launched 16 122-mm rounds. “The enemy used mortars twice in Popasna district, in the morning and in the evening. These attacks mostly lasted not more than 30 minutes. Moreover, Russia-backed militants opened fire in Stanytsia Luhanska and Krymske,” said Col. Lysenko. In total, militants conducted nine attacks in Luhansk sector yesterday.

In Donetsk sector, pro-Russian militants violated the ceasefire 20 times, using heavy weapons in 14 incidents. “Yesterday’s hostilities were peculiar for militants being active in the morning, just after the dawn. The enemy repeatedly used mortars and tank near Horlivka, namely in Zaitseve, Verkhniotoretske, near Avdiivka and Kamianka. Militants fired over 140 mortar rounds and more than 10 tank projectiles, said the spokesman. Militants continued attacking in the same area in the afternoon, but less intensively. They used mortars once in Luhanske. The ceasefire held in the Donetsk airport yesterday.
