NDI and IRI to announce findings of election missions at joint press conference on monday

KYIV – The National Democratic Institute (NDI) and the International Republican Institute (IRI) will hold a joint press conference on Monday, Oct. 27, to announce the findings of their international missions observing Ukraine’s parliamentary elections.

The press conference will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at the Ukraine Crisis Media Center, Hotel «Ukrayina», 3rd floor, 4 Instytuts’ka St., Kyiv. 

Speakers at the press conference will be the co-leaders of the IRI delegation, Ambassador Victor Ashe, former U.S. ambassador to Poland, and Iveta Radičová, former prime minister of Slovakia, as well as Stephen Nix, IRI regional director for Eurasia. Speaking for NDI will be the co-leaders of its delegation, former U.S. Rep. Karan English, D-AZ, and former Polish Defense Minister Janusz Onyszkiewicz, as well as Laura Jewett, NDI regional director for Eurasia.

The delegation’s purpose is to demonstrate the international community’s continuing support for democratic processes in Ukraine.
