Kyiv, May 28, 2014 – Terrorists kidnap not Ukrainian activists only, but everyone able to pay a ransom. It was the statement activists of Donetsk Euromaidan, Tetyana Zarovnaya and Vadym Khomakha made during their media briefing in Ukraine Crisis Media Center.
«Russian citizens came to Ukraine to kidnap Ukrainians and hold them to ransom. It is business for them now. It is cynical banditry. Some journalists come and film our activists and then represent them as “Pravyi Sektor”. Only public persons get into statistics. Those who are not public just pay a ransom. They do not file their kidnapping, because militia, public prosecution service and security service in Donetsk region consist of people working for terrorists», – informed Tetyana Zarovnaya.
Activists claim that public officials in Donbas are terrorists’ collaborationists. «There are officials in Donetsk who enhance separatism and serve as terrorism donors. These people are to become an object of the anti-terrorist operation as well», – emphasizes the activist.
Activists of Donetsk Euromaidan called upon newly-elected President of Ukraine to support people of Donbas. «All peaceful and law-obedient inhabitants of Donbas, regardless of their political opinion, rest all their hopes on successful anti-terrorist operation», – the activist said.
Group of activists have already given the interim President of Ukraine, Oleksandr Turchynov, application with their requirements. «We demand that the state should pay attention to forced migrants, who, unlike residents of Crimea, have no rights whatsoever, and specifically voting right we were deprived of. We ask to solve our problems, problems of patriots for whom Donbas is Ukraine, in the same manner», – said Vadym Khomakha.
