Kyiv, November 3, 2015. Russia-backed militants were firing upon Ukrainian positions near Pisky from the area of Zhabyache. Militant group members used automatic and under barrel grenade launchers as well as small arms, said ATO Staff spokesman, Captain Leonid Matyukhin at a press briefing via Skype at Ukraine Crisis Media Center. “Mercenaries fired from automatic grenade launchers upon our troops near Avdiivka at midnight. Ukrainian troops abide to the Minsk agreements and do not return fire,” he emphasized.

Donbas infrastructure is being repaired despite the ongoing militant attacks. Captain Matyukhin reported that construction materials had been delivered to Luhanske and Myronivske under support of civic-military cooperation units to repair schools. “Servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces together with students’ parents and locals are finalizing works to change radiators at school in Myronivske. Fifteen tons of coal have been delivered to Luhanske for heating purpose,” he explained.

Civic-military cooperation units facilitated delivery of construction materials, clothes and food to the servicemen on the frontline.
