On October 27, the second stage of the project Rediscovering Eastern Ukraine Heritage – “Under construction: Museum open II” continues in Mariupol, during which the project participants will visit 28 museums of Donbas in 21 days.
The route of the museum tour will run through the cities of Donetsk (Mariupol, Nikolske, Volnovakha, Novosilka, Neskuchne, Pokrovsk, Sontsivka, Avdiyivka, Konstantinivka, Bakhmut, Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Svyatohirsk, Lyman) and Luhansk regions (Kreminna, Rubizhne, Novoaydar, Starobilsk, Svatove, Troitsk, Bilokurinno, Novopskov, Milove, Bilovodsk, Stanytsia Luhanska). The tour will last from October 27 to November 16. Participants will visit museums, get acquainted with expositions, foundations and work of institutions, present the results of the first stage of the project “Under construction: Museum open: Slovyansk and Lysychansk”, which finished at the end of 2016 – beginning of 2017.
The purpose of the tour is to develop a road map for further cooperation with museums, as well as to make a catalog with general information about the visited museums, a review of collections and individual exhibits. The tour will result in curatorial art projects and public events to be held in a number of Donbas museums.
