Ministry of Defense: Militants reduce the number of attacks to two

Russia-backed militants committed two ceasefire violations in the combat zone over the last day. “Ukrainian troops did not return fire,” reported Ukrainian Ministry of Defense spokesman on ATO Colonel Dmytro Hutsulyak at a press briefing at Ukraine Crisis Media Center.

In Luhansk sector, Russian proxies shelled Ukrainian troops’ positions in Svitlodarsk area having fired ten 82-mm mortar rounds.

In Donetsk sector, Russia-backed militants violated the ceasefire in Pisky area. “Between 22:00 and 23:00 the enemy used 82-mm mortars along with IFV mounted weapons and grenade launchers. Militants fired a total of ten mortar rounds in this attack,” Colonel Hutsulyak elaborated.

Fortunately, Ukrainian troops incurred no losses yesterday.
