Kyiv, November 13, 2015. Militants keep firing upon Ukrainian positions in all sectors in the ATO zone despite the Minsk agreements. “Militants were firing from 82-mm mortars. About 40 mines were launched upon Bolotenne. Mayorsk was mortared three times. Opytne and Starohnativka were fired upon from small arms, large-caliber machine guns and grenade launchers, Hranitne and Pisky were fired upon twice,” said Captain Leonid Matyukhin, ATO Staff spokesman at a press briefing via Skype at Ukraine Crisis Media Center. He also said that a group of up to 100 people dressed in Ukrainian-type camouflaged uniforms had been detected near Trudivska mine in Donetsk.

Militants were also firing from automatic grenade launcher systems, large-caliber machine guns and small arms upon Ukrainian positions in the area of Zaitseve and Mayorsk. They were also conducting non-precision fire from grenade launchers and small arms upon Avdiivka and Pisky. Russia-backed militants also tried to attack Ukrainian troops in the area of Novozvanivka. “As the hostile subversive group was approaching it was decided to open the fire for effect. The adversary stepped back and tried to outflank from the left. When an attempt to attack was repeated fire for effect was opened. Militants took their killed and wounded comrades in action and stepped back,” noted Captain Matyukhin.

Yesterday militant groups fired in the Donetsk sector: four times upon Krasnohorivka, three times upon Pisky, twice upon Opytne as well as at Novoselivka Druha using grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms. Krasnohorivka was mortared. There was a combat engagement in Zaitseve in Artemivsk sector.

In violation of the Minsk agreements militants are amassing their troops in the area of Donetsk. “We have detected movement of up to 10 tanks, 10 infantry fighting vehicles and seven trucks from Shakhtarsk to Donetsk. High-level official of Russia’s 12th command of the Southern military district reserve located in Rostov-on-Don arrived to plan and coordinate the actions in the sector in question,” said ATO Staff spokesman.
