Lend a Hand to Ukraine at NYC Gala

A fundraiser Lend a Hand to Ukraine will take place in New York on June 25 at the Pierre Hotel Grand Ballroom, home to filming of Scent of a Woman and God Father, as well as some other masterpieces. Guest stars of the fundraiser are Hayden Panetierre, Jake Robinson, and the former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili. The event will be exclusively covered by the Huffington Post.

On behalf of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the United Nations, the organizers invite prospective guests to the charity Gala evening in support of Ukrainian children and families who have suffered from the recent events in the Eastern European state.

As part of the Gala, an art charity auction, among other remarkable pieces, will offer paintings by a famous Ukrainian artist, Dasha Bezkostaya, a physically challenged girl who draws with her feet. A piano performance by Pavel Gintov, former soloist with Tokyo Royal Chamber Orchestra, will round up the pleasant evening.

Tickets and donations can be acquired at www.ukrainefundraise.com (tax deductible in the USA).

The organizers, Borokhovich Foundation, have eight years track record in supporting orphanages in small Ukrainian cities. As part of the last project, 10 children whose fathers were recently killed in Ukraine were sent to a summer camp in the Carpathian Mountains. Notably, nine days of camp for one kid cost USD 95, thus, as the organizers point out, no donation is too small for the cause.
