In case of an air alert, visitors of the event can use the shelter located in the basement of the Ukrainian House\u00a0( Ukraine Crisis Media Center Ukrainian House,\u00a01st floor. 2 Khreshchatyk street,\u00a0Kyiv 01001 )<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Presentation of the methodology and results of the remote assessment conducted in the Kharkiv region by the Society of Researchers of Ukraine and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, commissioned by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NGO &#8220;Society of Researchers of Ukraine&#8221; (hereinafter \u2013 the Society) under Agreement No.OSRO\/UKR\/019\/CHA between the Society and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (hereinafter \u2013 FAO), in the period from May 2023 to June 2024, will conduct a detailed study of the degree of contamination of agricultural land (mainly arable land) and will assess the damage caused to soil cover, as well as possible risks of contamination of arable land within the territories of the Mykolaiv, Kherson and Kharkiv regions that suffered from the russian federation\u2019s armed aggression against Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The analytical component of the study will include a number of important indicators for territorial communities in general and for individual agricultural plots:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 number of shell holes and craters with corresponding parameters (diameter, depth, probable type of weapon);&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 volume of displaced soil, m3;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 area of contaminated soil, m2;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 amount of damage from soil contamination, in hryvnias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the implementation of the practical component of the study, data will be obtained on:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 pedoturbation zones (zones of direct soil damage);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 soil contamination zones;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 places of possible activation of hazardous geomorphological processes;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 zones at geochemical risks of heavy metal contamination;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 zones of geochemical barriers in the soil environment;\u2022 degree of pollution of agricultural plots.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":290184,"menu_order":0,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"tags":[],"section":[648],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v17.4 -
