On February, 19 at 2 p.m. Bilovodsk Regional History Museum (Tsentralna str., 154) will host the opening of the \u201cBilovodsk \/ Search\u2019\u201dexhibition. The exhibition is a result of cooperation between the museum and the \u201cDE NE DE\u201d artistic initiative within the project Rediscovering the historical heritage of eastern Ukraine \u2013 \u201cUnder construction: Museum open II\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cDE NE DE\u201d initiative in Bilovodsk Local History Museum is a search of means and forms of modern regional studies. This experiment provides for finding clear forms and structures for representing an artistic work. At the same time, there is no restrictions on content.<\/p>\n

Five artists will shoot videos within 5 days. These video works will be integrated into five museum exhibitions of the Bilovodsk Local History Museum. What do contemporary artists know about the region? How they can understand the local context? Do they give preference to document or impression? Perhaps the accents created by artists will become important semantic and visual codes for reading and understanding of this city and region.<\/p>\n

The artists themselves choose the topic of their work in direct contact with the locality, museum, city, people and archive. Collective work provides for individual studies of the local context and the integration of research results into the main museum exposition.<\/p>\n

The opening of the exhibition will be on Monday, February 19.<\/p>\n
