This quote is an interesting case of pro-Kremlin actors following the #KremlinNarratives<\/a> to the point where the reality very obviously does not match the message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

President Zelensky is a Russian speaker (he uses Ukrainian only during official events) and he was known to entertain the idea of introducing Russian as a regional language in Ukraine, for which he even received some criticism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Kremlin constantly depicts Ukraine as a nationalist state, where Russian speakers are persecuted and thus Viktor Medvedchuk has to perpetuate this lie even if his audience knows this is not the case.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
