{"id":14899,"date":"2014-07-08T11:12:34","date_gmt":"2014-07-08T11:12:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/uacrisis.org\/?p=5748"},"modified":"2014-07-10T04:40:31","modified_gmt":"2014-07-10T02:40:31","slug":"5748-danylo-lubkivsky-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uacrisis.org\/en\/5748-danylo-lubkivsky-8","title":{"rendered":"Press remarks by Danylo Lubkivsky, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qMWQ6_rddxI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WATCH IN ENGLISH<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Ladies and gentlemen<\/b>,<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>The turmoil in Ukraine comes to a logical conclusion<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li><b>It was not a civil war<\/b> \u2013 as it was brought, instigated and financed from Russia.<\/li>\n<li><b>It was not a liberation movement<\/b> \u2013 as personal liberties were the last thing on the minds of terrorists.<\/li>\n<li><b>It was not an \u201cinsurgency<\/b>\u201d \u2013 either by the roots, nature or the scale of destruction.<\/li>\n<li><b>It has been an act of aggression by Russia against Ukraine<\/b> that begun in Crimea and continued in the East.<\/li>\n<li><b>It has been an attempt to dismember Ukraine<\/b> after failing to make it swerve from the European way.<\/li>\n<li><b>It has been a terror war on Ukraine<\/b> \u2013 until Ukraine finally fought back and declared a war on terror in return.<\/li>\n<li><b>Restoring peace is the cornerstone of the platform<\/b> of our President and the Cabinet.<\/li>\n<li><b>The terrorists rejected the peace<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>The Russian terrorists showed that negotiating more rights for Russian language, getting a better representation of the region in central government was not what their fight was about.<\/li>\n<li><b>Their fight was about one and only thing<\/b>: Ukraine\u2019s dismemberment.<\/li>\n<li>Once the Russian involvement is out of the picture \u2013 <b>we, Ukrainians, will agree among us<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>And now, as Ukraine gets more democratic and more integrated with the European Union \u2013 <b>there will be more ways and means to do that<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li><b>Negotiations with Russia on peace plan for Ukraine do not constitute a consent to status quo<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>The <b>trilateral Contact group<\/b> met on the 6<sup>th<\/sup> of July and agreed to continue its activities.<\/li>\n<li><b>Ukraine is committed<\/b>. Russia and terrorists clearly are not.<\/li>\n<li><b>Ukrainian peacekeepers are reinstating order in the East<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>In one day <b>our forces removed 700 mines<\/b> and explosive devices planted by terrorists in Slovyansk.<\/li>\n<li><b>City authorities renew water and power supply<\/b>, and citizens once again receive salaries or pensions.<\/li>\n<li>My best wishes to <b>Denys Hryshchuk<\/b> and <b>Pavlo Yurov<\/b> who were freed yesterday in Slovyansk.<\/li>\n<li>Ukraine will not stop until <b>all Kremlin\u2019s hostages are set free<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Ladies and Gentlemen<\/b>,<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>Putin\u2019s regime demonstrates its true colors through persecution of Crimean Tatars<\/b> and of every person who dares to protest against occupation.<\/li>\n<li>Apart from <b>Oleg Sentsov<\/b>, who was kidnapped by FSB in Crimea, there are other audacious instances of activists disappearing.<\/li>\n<li><b>Timur Shaimardanov<\/b>, <b>Leonid Korzh<\/b> and <b>Seiran Zinedin<\/b> from \u201cUkrainian Dim\u201d are missing since May.<\/li>\n<li><b>Occupation authorities are not interested in finding killers of Reshat Ametov<\/b>, whose body with signs of torture was found on the 15<sup>th<\/sup> of March.<\/li>\n<li>Having denied entrance into Crimea to Leader of the Crimean Tatar people Musafa Dzhemilev and Head of the Mejlis Refat Chubarov, <b>the Kremlin accomplished complete alienation of the Crimean Tatars<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li><b>Russia imports into Crimea censorship<\/b>, intolerance, restrictions of freedom of speech, selective justice, administrative pressure and intimidation of dissidents.<\/li>\n<li><b>The Foreign Ministry will further promote truth<\/b> about human rights violations in Crimea.<\/li>\n<li><b>We cannot and we will not tolerate this<\/b>. This is about freedom. This about Crimea. This about Ukraine.
