This was stated by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Ukraine’s Integration into the European Union during online discussion “Defense of Ukraine in a difficult time”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze is convinced that if the West had provided Ukraine with the assistance it provides now, we would not have experienced what we are experiencing now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Our peaceful cities are now being fired at with grenade launchers and rockets, sabotage, terrorist groups are roaming within our country, heavy vehicles are driving on the streets of our cities and villages, hoisting white flags and shooting our citizens. I do not see any readiness on the part of the international community to help organize green corridors for the evacuation of women and children from the surrounding cities under attack, as well as to provide food for these cities.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the chairman of the Committee, Ukrainians are showing unprecedented courage to fight for their country, they are queuing up to join the territorial defense, volunteer, help internally displaced persons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I am shocked by the decision of Great Britain, which did not agree to abolish visas for Ukrainians fleeing the war. There is no place for bureaucracy. Any delay is the life of our citizens. Conversely, urgent actions are the saved lives and future of our people,” said Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the chairman of the Committee, Putin’s goal is to erase Ukraine from the map of the world, to destroy Ukrainians as a nation: “This is a continuation of the policy pursued by the Soviet Union towards Ukraine. The Holodomor tried to destroy the Ukrainian people. Now they are doing the same thing in the war. But our army is fighting fiercely, our people are organized and mobilized. “Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze called on the West to provide Ukraine with even more weapons: \u201cEverything from air defense, anti-tank weapons, to personal defense equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
People are ready to fight for their land. And this is a miscalculation not only of Putin. This is a miscalculation of the whole West. No one hoped that the Ukrainians would fight so hard and zealously. They are ready to defend their land even with their bare hands.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the chairman of the Committee, Putin is currently committing genocide against Ukraine. If the precautionary sanctions requested by Ukraine were imposed, it would be much easier to resist the attack. Therefore, sanctions should be further strengthened: “I wonder why there is no reaction from international financial institutions. The IMF and the World Bank – why did they not exclude Russia from these organizations and why did they not freeze the accounts of both government and oligarchs? I would like to see the children of Lavrov, Naryshkin, all these officials and oligarchs being taken to their homes from the beautiful, cozy places abroad where they are now. This must be done immediately.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We are now forced to hide in hideouts and bomb shelters. And the fate of your citizens will depend on your actions (the West) – whether they will also hide from the war, because Putin will not be satisfied with Ukraine. He will push on,” said Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She expressed hope that Putin would soon be convicted by the Hague tribunal for war crimes and crimes against humanity: “Russia must be recognized as a state that sponsors terrorism. This is the end of the Russian Empire, not Ukraine. And I hope that after this war, Russia will fall apart, because otherwise the new dictator will one day start a war again, not only against his closest neighbors, but also against the whole free world.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
