Ukraine\u2019s President Petro Poroshenko in his address to Ukrainian people said early parliamentary elections will be held on October 26. \u201c The elections of the new parliament will be held on October 26, 2014,\u201d the statement said. At the same time he underlined early elections \u201cdo not mean that the current Verkhovna Rada is relieved of the responsibility of the fate of the country.\u201d \u201cMPs will work until a new Parliament is elected. The main thing that has to be done by them is ratification of the Association Agreement with the European Union in September,\u201d the head of state underlined. Petro Poroshenko assured Ukrainians \u201celection will be fair, democratic and transparent\u201d and urged voters to the high turnout.
