They hit different parts of the city, the mayor of Mykolayiv Oleksandr Senkevych said. A Russian missile hit a residential house at 6:25 a.m. when most residents were at home sleeping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of the evening, there are reports of five killed and five wounded civilians. The missiles also hit a garage area causing fire \u2013 11 garages and nine cars burned down.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NATO brands Russia as alliance\u2019s most significant threat in fresh strategic concept.<\/strong>&nbsp;On June 29, NATO leaders meeting at a summit in Madrid adopted the alliance\u2019s new strategic concept branding Russia as \u201cthe most significant and direct threat to Allies\u2019 security and to peace and stability in the Euro-Atlantic area\u201d.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The strategic concept sets out NATO\u2019s priorities, core tasks and approaches for the next decade. The also blueprint outlines security environment, and reaffirms alliance\u2019s values and key purpose to ensure collective defense of the Allies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NATO will continue to develop partnerships with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia and Ukraine, the document reads. The alliance reaffirmed the decision it took at the 2008 Bucharest Summit and all subsequent decisions with respect to Georgia and Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Russian Federation\u2019s war of aggression against Ukraine has shattered peace and gravely altered our security environment. Its brutal and unlawful invasion, repeated violations of international humanitarian law and heinous attacks and atrocities have caused unspeakable suffering and destruction. A strong, independent Ukraine is vital for the stability of the Euro-Atlantic area,\u201d NATO\u2019s strategic concept reads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ukrainian government was positive in its assessment of the summit results. Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva, chair of the Ukrainian delegation at the summit said he was satisfied with outcomes of the gathering. Kyiv continues to hold course toward NATO membership, Zhovkva added. \u201cUkraine\u2019s Euro-Atlantic integration is not being removed from the agenda,\u201d Deputy Head of the Office of the President said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sweden and Finland were invited to join NATO bypassing the Membership Action Plan, that opens new possibilities for Ukraine, Ihor Zhovkva said. \u201cWe took note of a possibility,\u201d he added saying that the case created a precedent for other aspirant countries.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ukraine, Russia swap prisoners.<\/strong>&nbsp;Ukraine secured the release of 144 its service members as part of a massive swap with Russia on Wednesday, June 29, Ukraine\u2019s military intelligence agency said.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s the biggest prisoner swap since Russia\u2019s full-scale invasion, the Main Intelligence Department of the Ukraine\u2019s Defense Ministry added. Of the 144 freed, 95 are Azovstal defenders, of whom 43 are service members of the Azov regiment. A majority of the swapped defenders were badly wounded, suffering from gunshot and shrapnel wounds, blast traumas, burns, fractured bones and amputated limbs. They are getting medical aid and psychological counseling. The agency did not say how many Russian prisoners were swapped.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Liberated service members of Azov are \u201cin awful condition,\u201d representative of the Association of Azovstal Defenders\u2019 Families, sister of marine commander in captivity Serhiy Volyna Tetyana Kharko said. Almost all Azovstal fighters have amputations of arms or legs, she told Suspilne in a comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAlmost all, 99 per cent [of Azovstal service members] have amputations of arms or legs. Some of the guys have tears in their eyes as they speak, some can\u2019t speak. They are on their way [home]. The swapped guys need immediate medical assistance,\u201d Kharko said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ukraine restaurant business during the war.
