For years, Russia has been an important strategic partner for Germany. As a result, the strategy of German authorities during the Russian-Ukrainian war remains cautious and the supply of heavy weapons encounters delay after delay. At the same time, 74% of Germans still are willing to support Ukraine \u2013 and these figures speak for themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government of the country chooses to be cautious, in particular, not to lose the tool of influence on Russia in the future. However, while there still are sentiments towards Russia, Germans do not need political statements to understand who is the aggressor in this war of annihilation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having sheltered over 20% of Ukrainian refugees, German society is now in the process of rethinking the very concept of Ukraine. Also, while Germany still feels historical guilt mostly towards Russia and the country has become strongly dependent on Russian gas, the search for a new format of German-Russian and Getman-Ukrainian relations is now ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
