2022 became a very \u201cUkrainian year\u201d since Ukrainian voices were heard in all corners of the world. For the first time in history, the Ukrainian organization was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The road to the first Nobel Prize was paved by generations of Ukrainian writers and dissidents. While 8 former Nobel Laureates were born on ethnic Ukrainian territories, Oleksandra Matviichuk, a head of the Centre for Civil Liberties, become the first Nobel Laureate in the history of independent Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the large-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Centre\u2019s work on documenting
Russian war crimes on the temporarily occupied territories are vitally important for further international trials and investigations \u2013 and the Noble prize helped the voices of human rights defenders to be heard worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
