Dozens of large industrial plants in Ukraine were or remain under the occupation of the Russian Federation. Ukraine\u2019s largest unique enterprises were destroyed, like the Azovstal steel plant and the Avdiivka Coke and Chemical Plant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thousands of Ukrainian medium and small enterprises also suffered as a result of the Russian occupation. Russia not only destroys but also steals equipment and technologies, taking away machine tools and workshops from the captured regions of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The goal of the aggressor is to destroy the Ukrainian economy, and it does everything possible to do so in the regions it occupies, which happen to be the most industrially developed in Ukraine. After the aggressor is defeated, Ukraine will rebuild what was destroyed and will modernize its economy. Moreover, the Russian Federation must pay for all the damage it has caused \u2013 the process to record and calculate the losses for compensation is already ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
