In Ukraine, both people and animals do everything possible to bring victory in the Russian-Ukrainian war closer. While the dog Patron, Jack Russell Terrier, became one of the most recognizable symbols of Ukrainian resistance for foreign and Ukrainian audiences, he is not the only one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The role of search-and-rescue and other dogs in modern military usage is hard to overestimate. They are indispensable helpers in demining, patrolling, and protecting the border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ukrainian dogs became stars on social media, won awards, appeared in mass culture, and, as a result, helped people to survive the trauma of war. Working in the war zone, searching for the bodies under the rubble, they demonstrate their bravery every day \u2014 which is also a sufficient contribution to our joint victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
