For years, Russian propaganda has been inciting hatred towards Ukraine, Ukrainians, and Ukrainian identity. The image of Ukrainian as the symbolic \u201eother\u201d was also promoted by the Soviet regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Russia wages a war of annihilation against Ukraine, Russian propagandists spread hate speech against Ukrainians in information field. Such rhetoric gave birth to the narratives about \u201cNazies\u201d, \u201cfascists\u201d, and even \u201cSatanists\u201d in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The influence of these propaganda narratives on Russian society cannot be underestimated and can be considered incitement to genocide inciting Russian soldiers to commit war crimes in Ukraine. Is there a chance that Russian propaganda will be criminalized? Will Russian propagandists be held accountable for direct and public incitement to genocide?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
