Russia’s invasion of Ukraine led to the spread of anti-Ukrainian propaganda in the Global South. But is it true?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many countries in the region maintain neutrality or even support Russia’s position, which affects their positions in the UN and the political statements of their leaders. The upcoming BRICS and Russia-Africa summits are expected to strengthen Russia’s influence by inviting new countries to join and improving its image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Russian information resources are conducting an information campaign, including “Rosafrica,” to shape the narrative and content of their regional cooperation. Nevertheless, the countries of the so-called Global South pursue their interests, and often these interests do not coincide with the interests of Russia, leaving a large field for the work of Ukrainian diplomacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
