Russia drops guided bomb on Kupyansk, in Kharkiv region, killing at least six<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Russia threw a guided bomb on the city of Kupyansk, in Kharkiv region, in a daytime attack on Tuesday. At least six people were killed, with the number expected to rise, said head of the investigation department of the National Police in Kharkiv region Serhiy Bolvinov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a Facebook post he said: \u201cSix civilians \u2014 two women and four men, were killed in Kupyansk. As of now, that\u2019s the number of victims recovered.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Russian strike \u201chit a volunteer vehicle on a civilian evacuation mission. We continue to pull the bodies from the nearby river and out of destroyed vehicles. (\u2026) Unfortunately, more victims are being recovered. We\u2019ll continue to update the death toll,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Russian artillery strike in Kherson on Tuesday killed a police sergeant and wounded two civilians on a trolleybus. One of the civilians later died of the wounds at a hospital. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Early in the morning on Tuesday, Russia\u2019s Iranian-made Shahed drones set ablaze three industrial warehouses in Lviv, killing an employee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lviv mayor Andriy Sadovyi said the strike ignited one of the most destructive fires in terms of damage. The fire caused hundreds of millions of hryvnia worth of damage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Biden at UN calls on world leaders to stand up to Russia\u2019s aggression<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In a speech Tuesday to the United Nations General Assembly, U.S. President Joe Biden made a call for the world to stand up to Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine, calling for leaders to stand firm in their support of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The U.S. strongly supports Ukraine in its efforts to bring about a diplomatic resolution that delivers just and lasting peace, Biden said. Russia alone bears responsibility for this war and has the power to end this war immediately, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd it is Russia alone that stands in the way of peace, because the Russia\u2019s price for peace is Ukraine\u2019s capitulation, Ukraine\u2019s territory, and Ukraine\u2019s children,\u201d the U.S. President said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf we abandon the core principles of the UN Charter to appease an aggressor, can any member state in this body feel confident that they are protected? If we allow Ukraine to be carved up, is the independence of any nation secure? I\u2019d respectfully suggest the answer is no,\u201d Biden said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe have to stand up to this naked aggression today and deter other would-be aggressors tomorrow. That\u2019s why the United States, together with our allies and partners around the world, will continue to stand with the brave people of Ukraine as they defend their sovereignty and territorial integrity and their freedom,\u201d he said, drawing a round of applause. President Zelenskyi, sitting in the General Assembly hall, also clapped his hands.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Support to Ukraine is \u201cnot only an investment in Ukraine\u2019s future, but in the future of every country\u201d, Biden said. Sovereignty and territorial integrity are UN\u2019s fixed foundations that cannot be sacrificed, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ukraine claims successful strike on Russian military headquarters in Melitopol<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On the morning of September 19, Ukraine struck a Russian military headquarters near occupied Melitopol, in Zaporizhzhia region. The strategic communications department (StratCom) of the office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said: \u201cAt around 7 a.m., the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a successful strike at the Russian military headquarters near occupied Melitopol.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ivan Fedorov, the Ukrainian mayor of the city, said that local residents reported more than five explosions. The loudest explosions came from the area of the Avtokolyorlyt factory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
