Ukrainian troops advanced over the railway line near Bakhmut, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said in a report on Sunday. Geolocated footage published on October 29 indicates that Ukrainian forces advanced over the railway line south of Andriivka (10km southwest of Bakhmut).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ukrainian troops also advanced in western Zaporizhia Oblast, the report reads. The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces continued assault operations south of Bakhmut and continued offensive operations in the Melitopol (western Zaporizhia Oblast) direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A prominent Russian milblogger claimed that Ukrainian forces managed to establish stable control over some unspecified Russian positions in the Zaporizhia direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Kremlin-affiliated Russian milblogger claimed that Russian forces attempted to regain lost positions near Klishchiivka and Andriivka and pushed Ukrainian forces from positions near the Berkhivka reservoir (about 2km northwest of Bakhmut) over the past week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ukraine targeted a Russian air defense missile unit in occupied Crimea overnight on Monday, October 30, Russian media said. Seventeen Russian soldiers were injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The reports alleged that at around 3 a.m, Ukraine struck a site near the village of Olenivka, on the western coast of Crimea, where a Russian air defense unit was deployed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed they had successfully hit \u201ca strategic site,\u201d part of Russia\u2019s air defense system in Crimea on October 30. They also confirmed they had destroyed an S-400 air defense system in Luhansk region on October 25. Photos from the town of Bilorichenskyi in Luhansk region that depict the detached tail sections of U.S.-supplied ATACMS missiles began to circulate on Russian social media on October 25. Russia said it shot down two ATACMS missiles for the first time. Ukraine\u2019s Air Force said that was possible, but the footage doesn\u2019t prove it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ukraine launched ATACMS missiles at Russian forces for the first time on October 17. Ukrainian Armed Forces then struck military airfields in Russian-occupied Berdyansk and Luhansk, destroying at least nine Russian helicopters. \u201cAs a result of the attack, a fire broke out, which was promptly extinguished by our rescuers. The administrative building and equipment of the enterprise were damaged,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
