In a significant move, the European Council has decided to launch membership negotiations with Ukraine, despite the ongoing war with Russia. This decision demonstrates the EU’s commitment to supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and its desire to deepen ties with the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The negotiations aim to strengthen political, economic, and social cooperation between the EU and Ukraine, while also promoting stability in the region. However, the ongoing conflict with Russia poses significant challenges to the membership negotiations, as it hinders Ukraine’s ability to fully implement the necessary reforms and meet the EU’s criteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is important for Ukraine to try to resist Russian hybrid influences that will affect the negotiation process, because most of the Ukrainian-skeptic forces in the EU have connections with the Kremlin in one way or another. Therefore, Kyiv should try to normalize relations with countries where such forces will gain popularity, so it is obvious that these negotiations are not a one-year process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
