General Valery Zaluzhnyi is a figure, who is almost legendary in Ukraine. When the Russian invasion put an immense strain on Ukrainians` spirit and strength, he played a significant part in keeping the morale high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his time as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he became known to the world as a symbol of Ukrainian strength and spirit, gaining the unofficial title \u201cIron General\u201d. Ukrainians, however, respect him not just for his military strategy and strength but as a \u201cfather of the AFU\u201d and a true leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Almost a year after his time as the Commander-in-Chief ended, Valery Zaluzhnyi remains a figure strongly associated with Ukrainian resilience and is regarded as the one who brought hope to the people and united them in the face of a common enemy. He continues to inspire gratefulness and pride in the people of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
