Russia launched further attacks on energy sites in the regions of Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Sumy, Ukraine\u2019s Energy Ministry said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Sumy and Chernihiv regions the situation continues to be difficult, the ministry added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Energy workers are taking all possible measures to ensure stable operation of the energy system under permanent Russian attacks, the message reads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rolling power outages were in place in Chernihiv region on Tuesday. At the same time, the ministry said preparations for the heating season were underway, mentioning repair works at energy sites, stockpiling resources and measures to protect the critical infrastructure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ministry also asked consumers to ration energy especially during peak morning and evening hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chernihiv regional power distribution company said an energy facility near Pryluky was hit on Tuesday morning, leaving more than 61,000 households without electricity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Firefighters contained the fire caused by the attack and prevented it from spreading, Ukraine\u2019s State Emergency Service said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that he has \u201csort of made a decision\u201d on supplying Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI sort of made a decision pretty much,\u201d Trump said when asked by reporters in the Oval Office if he had decided on selling long-range Tomahawk missiles to NATO countries in order for them to be supplied to Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump also said he would want to know what Ukraine planned to do with the missiles before agreeing to supply them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think I want to find out what they\u2019re doing with them. Where are they sending them? I guess I\u2019d have to ask that question,\u201d he added. \u201cI would ask some questions. I am not looking to see an escalation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last month, U.S. Vice President JD Vance said Washington was considering a Ukrainian request to obtain long-range Tomahawks that could hit deep inside Russia. At the time, it was unclear if Trump had made a decision on whether to send them to Ukraine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Trump Administration\u2019s desire to send long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine may not be viable because current inventories are committed to the U.S. Navy and other uses, a U.S. official and three sources said, according to last week\u2019s report by Reuters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ukraine sent more drones at Russia overnight on Tuesday than Russia launched against Ukraine that same day, an officer of the Main Communications Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Babak said in a post to social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt looks like today is a historic day. Ukraine for the first time struck Russia with more drones than Russia used to strike us,\u201d Babak said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ukraine\u2019s Air Force said Russia sent 152 drones into Ukraine overnight on Tuesday. Russia\u2019s Defense Ministry said it had shot down 184 Ukrainian drones across the country that same night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
