Kyiv, June 2, 2015<\/em><\/strong>. In the Mariupol sector, fierce fighting in Shyrokyne lasted for the whole day. \u201cThe enemy was firing from a variety of weapons, including 120-mm mortars, 122-mm artillery and tanks. Enemy snipers were active as well,\u201d said Colonel Andriy Lysenko, spokesman of the Administration of the President of Ukraine on ATO related issues, at the press briefing at Ukraine Crisis Media Center.<\/p>\n

Most tense situation remains in the Donetsk sector: militants have fired along the frontline, stretching from Maryinka to Avdiivka, using heavy weapons prohibited by Minsk agreements at least at three different counts. Militants focused their fire from small arms on the eastern outskirts of Dzerzhynsk \u2013 Kirove, Leninske and Novhorodske.<\/p>\n

In the Luhansk sector, ceasefire was generally holding. \u201cSeveral skirmishes with small arms occurred over the last day. No cases of heavy weapons were observed,\u201d Col. Lysenko added.<\/p>\n

Ukrainian Armed Forces did not incur any lethal casualties; eight servicemen were wounded in action in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Ukrainian border guards registered 25 flights of enemy UAVs in ATO zone yesterday. One more Russian UAV has been observed flying along the Milovsky district, Luhansk region.<\/p>\n
