The search went on for three hours &#8211; from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Police officers served on Remzi Muratov a court ruling of March 11 on instituting criminal proceedings against Lenur Islyamov, a coordinator of Crimea blockade. Law enforcers tried to find documents confirming Muratov\u2019s contacts with Islyamov.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Police were looking for weapons, ammunition, drugs and forbidden literature. However, nothing of the kind was found.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; On March 25, Remzi Muratov was summoned to an FSS\u2019s (Russia\u2019s Federal Security Service) branch in Crimea for an interrogation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; A search was also conducted in the house of Shevket Usmanov, a Kurultai delegate, who lives in the village of Vesyoloye of Crimea\u2019s Sudak district. Usmanov was away in Kiev, so only his sons and his wife Ilmira were there at the time.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Sweeping searches of Crimean Tatars\u2019 homes have been going on since February. The occupation authorities cite Crimean Tatars\u2019 suspected membership in &#8220;extremist groups&#8221; as a reason for conducting the searches.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/qha.com.ua\/ru\/politika\/okkupanti-obiskivayut-dom-shevketa-usmanova\/157054\/\">News 1.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/qha.com.ua\/ru\/politika\/posle-obiska-fsb-priglasila-delegata-kurultaya-na-dopros\/157081\/\">News 2.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>2.\u00a0March 22, 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Three more Crimean Tatars banned from entering Crimea<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Three Crimean Tatars \u2013 the Gugurik brothers, Rustem, 45, and Bekir, 54, and Bilyala Seitumerova, have been banned from entering Crimea until 2021.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The three were served a written notice of a 5-year entry ban imposed against a foreigner or stateless person as per Article 27 of Federal Law #114. Should they violate the ban, which expires on January 1, 2021, they will be held criminally liable under Article 322 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Rustem Gugurik has been repeatedly detained and interrogated for 4-5 hours during border crossing since January 2016.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Crimean Tatars have had entry bans imposed against them since annexation of Crimea. Mustafa Jemilev, Refat Chubarov, Ismet Yuksel and Sinaver Kadyrov were the first to be banned from entering Crimea in 2014.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/qha.com.ua\/ru\/obschestvo\/esche-troim-krimskim-tataram-zapretili-vezd-v-krim\/157070\/\">News 1.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>3.\u00a0March 23, 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Crimean Tatars protect their property from demolition in Sudak &#8211; but only for the time being<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Six houses owned by the Chabanovs, Zekiryayevs, Useinovs, Mirzoevs and Sadyyevs families were meant to be demolished under an order issued by a city council of the Crimean town of Sudak on March 23.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; A market owned by Ilver Ametov, Chairman of a Mejlis branch in Sudak, was also scheduled for demolition.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Around 100 riot police officers armed with assault rifles arrived at Sudak\u2019s Akvapark district in two KAMAZ trucks on March 23. They were met by 150 Crimean Tatars who took to the street to protect their property.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Police also sealed off to traffic nearby streets. Two KAMAZ trucks carrying police officers pulled over near a market owned by Ilver Ametov. Police officers were also spotted near the town\u2019s hotels.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Police left the area without taking any action.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Crimean Tatars began building houses in the district in 2000.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The occupation authorities cite a ruling issued by an appeals court as far back as 2008 but which was never enforced as a reason for demolition.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/qha.com.ua\/ru\/politika\/doma-krimskih-tatar-v-sudake-poka-ne-sneseni-video\/157138\/\">News 1.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>4.\u00a0March 24, 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Imam Yag\u2019yev\u2019s to appeal his verdict<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; On July 17, 2015, a district court in the Crimean town of Bakhchisaray found Imam Mustafa Yag\u2019yev guilty of stirring up hatred and debasement of human dignity on ethnic grounds through threat of using force, a crime punishable under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Yag\u2019yev\u2019s guilt was established solely on the testimonies given by two of his workmates and a report to police.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Mustafa Yag\u2019yev was given a 2-year suspended sentence.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; According to Yag\u2019yev\u2019s workmates, he mentioned Crimea\u2019s soonest re-integration into Ukraine and lots of blood being shed in the process in a conversation with them.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Islamist books, a photo of Mustafa Jemilev and a map of Ukraine with the words \u2018Ukraine is Crimea\u2019 written on it in felt pen by Yag\u2019yev\u2019s son, which police seized during a search of Yag\u2019yev\u2019s house, were admitted into evidence in the criminal case initiated against Mustafa Yag\u2019yev.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The court failed to take into account the fact that Mustafa Yag\u2019yev is an Imam at a mosque in the village of Turgenevka.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0 Imam Mustafa Yag\u2019yev refused to plead guilty and appealed the verdict.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Crimea\u2019s court of appeals is now considering his appeal.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/qha.com.ua\/ru\/obschestvo\/v-krimu-prodoljaetsya-objalovanie-prigovora-imamu-yagyaevu\/157219\/\">News 1.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>5.\u00a0March 24, 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Court rules to extend detention of three Crimean Tatars charged with February 26 riots<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Crimea\u2019s Supreme Court extended pre-trial detention of Akhtem Chiygoz, Ali Asanov and Mustafa Degermedzhi, three Crimean Tatars charged with involvement in February 26 riots, aka \u2018February 26\u2019 case, until April 24.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The court dismissed the appeals filed by \u2018Prosecutor\u2019 Poklonskaya and defense attorneys, ruling to return the \u2018February 26\u2019 case to the Prosecutor\u2019s Office for reinvestigation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; On March 11, the so-called Crimea\u2019s Supreme Court illegally extended pre-trial detention term of Akhtem Chiygoz, Ali Asanov and Mustafa Degermedzhi, three Crimean Tatars charged with involvement in February 26 riots.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; For more than a year, Akhtem Chiygoz, Ali Asanov and Mustafa Degermedzhi have been held in pre-trial detention on charges of involvement in \u2018mass riots\u2019 that took place outside the Crimean Parliament on February 26, 2014.
