Creative exhibition should preserve the memory of Ukraine\u2019s capital, later on authors will expand the project across the entire country.<\/em><\/p>\n

Kyiv, May 27, 2016.<\/strong> <\/em>An exhibition-presentation of photo project “Fairytale Kyiv” will open on May 28, timed to Kyiv Day. The team of young artists created 30 art photographs based on famous fairy tales. They selected well-known places of the city for these photos. “We are united by the creative idea to show children fairy tales through famous places of Kyiv and help adults remember their childhood, when they read fairy tales and believed in miracles,” said Iryna Dzhul, photo artist, at a presentation of the project at Ukraine Crisis Media Center. “We want to show Kyiv from a completely different perspective so that everyone can look at familiar streets in a new way,” said Iryna Chorna, author and organizer of the project. Well-known Ukrainian musicians – The Hardkiss, ONUKA, Olga Sumska, Lavika and several others became fairy tale characters.<\/p>\n

\u201cFairytale Kyiv” is both an artistic and a social project, stressed the authors. Its main message is to encourage children to read and to remind everyone of the beauty of Kyiv. “We believe that photo is an additional tool that can be used to develop culture and tourism,” noted Ms. Dzhul. She added that this is the second series of photos on a fairy tale theme. In the future, they are going to expand the project and create such photos in different cities \u2013 in order to show picturesque places of Ukraine to Ukrainians and guests from abroad and encourage visiting them.<\/p>\n

The exhibition opens at 3 p.m. on May 28 (at Oles Honchar St., 22 in Kyiv) and will run until June 13. “Our project is not only artistic but also educational, so we have prepared a program for photographers who want to work in this field of photography. We will conduct three workshops and meetings with star members of our project,” said Ms. Chorna. After the exhibition is over, the project will be presented at various festivals.<\/p>\n

Ms. Chorna also reported that on June 13 they will present new public association “Photo collaboration” – a platform for cooperation between photographers and representatives of photography-related professions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
