Massive hostilities continue at the\u00a0Svitlodarsk\u00a0bulge. The previous day started with firefight near\u00a0Luhanske\u00a0lasting five hours non-stop, said\u00a0the spokesman of the Ministry of Defense on ATO related issues Colonel\u00a0<\/span>Andriy<\/span>\u00a0Lysenko at a press briefing\u00a0<\/span>at<\/span>\u00a0Ukraine Crisis Media Center<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u201cAdversaries attacked with\u00a0mortar launchers and cannons, launching dozens of shells and mortar bombs. It envisages complete\u00a0indefinite cessation of hostilities. \u201cAs of 11 a.m., enemy violated the agreement, conducting four attacks in the\u00a0Luhansk\u00a0and\u00a0Mariupol\u00a0sectors,\u201d said Col. Lysenko. For instance, militants used cannons and mortar launchers in\u00a0Novozvanivka\u00a0in the\u00a0Luhansk\u00a0sector, and Grad multiple rocket\u00a0launchers\u00a0were\u00a0used in\u00a0Syze.\u00a0Another mortar attack took place in\u00a0Zhovte. \u201cOccupants also violated the ceasefire in\u00a0Stanytsia\u00a0Luhanska,\u00a0Lobacheve\u00a0and\u00a0Novooleksandrivka,\u201d added the spokesman. In total,\u00a0militants made\u00a010 attacks in the\u00a0Luhansk\u00a0sector yesterday, and half of them involved use of heavy armor: 15 mortar bombs, 35 artillery shells and four Grad missiles.<\/p>\n

In addition to\u00a0Troitske-Novoluhanske\u00a0area, active hostilities in the Donetsk sector continued in\u00a0Horlivka\u00a0perimeter. Militants shelled Ukrainian positions in\u00a0Toretsk\u00a0satellite villages,\u00a0Verkhniotoretske\u00a0and\u00a0Novoselivka\u00a0Druha. Two residential\u00a0buildings were damaged in\u00a0Pivnichne,\u201d said Col. Lysenko. Five firefights took place between Ukrainian troops and militants. Ukrainian troops at\u00a0Butovka\u00a0coal mine position withstood an intense three hour mortar attack from the side of\u00a0Spartak\u00a0village yesterday. The armistice held in the Donetsk airport. Moreover, Ukrainian troops organized a checkpoint in\u00a0Novoluhanske\u00a0village in the Donetsk sector yesterday. \u201cIt was done at the\u00a0request of\u00a0locals as the settlement was not effectively controlled by any side. These measures will allow bringing in humanitarian aid,\u201d elaborated the spokesman.<\/p>\n
