OSCE monitors were inspecting the frontline from the Azov Sea to Luhansk during a 10-days period. Armed Forces of Ukraine is willing to clear mines.<\/em><\/p>\n

The majority of ceasefire violations last week took place within Avdiivka-Yasynuvata-Donetsk airport triangle, which amounted to 45% from the total number of violations, said Alexander Hug, First Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine via Skype from Soledar (Donetsk region) at a press briefing at Ukraine Crisis Media Center.<\/p>\n

OSCE monitors were inspecting the frontline from the Azov Sea to Luhansk during a 10-days period. \u201c20% of violations happened in areas south, south east and east of Svitlodarsk, 15% – east and north east of Mariupol and 5% took place in western areas of the Luhansk region,\u201d elaborated Hug. Some incidents of the armistice violation were registered at night last week within the area of troops and equipment disengagement. 5% of all violations observed in Donbas last week took place in the Stanytsia Luhanska area.<\/p>\n

OSCE monitors registered significant increase in number of civilian casualties within the last fortnight in the Luhansk region. Hug said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine expressed their willingness to clear mines and other threats along Pikuzy-Mariupol road. \u201cI also received similar assurances from a senior militant of self-proclaimed \u201cDonetsk people\u2019s republic\u201d.
