Militants attack in all sectors using heavy weapons. They violated the ceasefire 36, 10 and 12 times in Mariupol, Luhansk and Donetsk sectors correspondingly. \u201cTwo Ukrainian troops were killed in action yesterday and five were wounded. One of the deceased was a National Guard serviceman,\u201d reported Ukrainian Ministry of Defense spokesman on ATO Colonel Oleksandr Motuzyanyk at a press briefing at Ukraine Crisis Media Center.<\/p>\n

In Mariupol sector militants used mortars in attack in Maryinka. In Krasnohorivka Russia-backed militants shelled ATO troops with a tank yesterday and opened fire from mortars twice. One mortar shell hit a local schoolyard. There were no children or teachers on the premises at that time. Two more mortar shells exploded near a residential building. \u201cA local inhabitant was injured; the woman was urgently taken to hospital,\u201d informed the spokesman. In Volnovakha district the enemy used light weapons twice, shelling our positions in Novotroitske. Militants used mortars in Bohdanivka after the midnight. Numerous brief provocations took place in Chermalyk-Shyrokyne frontline involving light weapons and armor. Moreover, militants repeatedly violated the ceasefire with heavy weapons, firing over 30 mortar rounds and three artillery projectiles in this area. Militants used heavy weapons most often in Chermalyk. Hostile snipers were active in Hnutove, Talakivka and Vodiane.<\/p>\n

In Luhansk sector militants conducted three small arms ceasefire violations in Stanytsia Luhanska district. They attacked ATO troops with grenade launchers and APC weapons in Novyi Aidar district in the afternoon. In Popasna district the situation was much calmer than the day before. \u201cRussian proxies carried out brief hostile provocations in Novozvanivka and Novooleksandrivka. In the latter militants fired one shell at Ukrainian positions late at night,\u201d said the spokesman.<\/p>\n

In Donetsk sector one attack at Ukrainian positions took place in Svitlodarsk area. It occurred in Novoluhanske late at night, no heavy armor was used. \u201cThe ceasefire fully held in Horlivka perimeter during the day. Militants fired two mortar shells in Verkhniotoretske around 21:00,\u201d said Col. Motuzyanyk. Russian proxies conducted one brief armed provocation near Kamianka in the morning. \u201cFollowing this, the ceasefire held till 15:00, then the enemy opened fire in Avdiivka\u2019s industrial area. The first attack lasted one hour, and militants were widely using grenade launchers and machine guns. They also fired five mortar shells. Shelling in the vicinity of Avdiivka started after 18:00 and lasted till midnight. The enemy used mortars sporadically, mostly using light weapons and grenade launchers,\u201d informed the spokesman. In Donetsk airport Russian proxies violated the ceasefire once late at night near Novoluhanske. Militants were shooting from small arms and APC weapons for 30 minutes.<\/p>\n
