Meanwhile Russia-backed militants violate the ceasefire. They occasionally use Minsk-proscribed 82-mm mortars. Last week Russian proxies also fired from reactive infantry flame-throwers and heavy machine guns upon Ukrainian troops.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ukraine\u2019s Joint Forces incurred no losses for the first time in a long while.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Official election results announced: key numbers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Central Election Commission released official results of the snap parliamentary elections to the Verkhovna Rada (the Parliament of Ukraine) in the multi-member nationwide constituency (elected through the party-list system).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Central Election Commission has processed 100 per cent of the protocols by district election commissions summarizing the vote through party lists and determined official results of the parliamentary elections.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the official protocol the following parties make it into the Parliament:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>\u201cServant of People\u201d (Sluha Narodu) \u2013 43,16 per cent (6,307,793 votes);<\/li>\n<li>\u201cOpposition Platform \u2013 For Life\u201d (Opozytsiyna platforma \u2013 Za Zhyttia) \u2013 13,05 per cent (1,908,111 votes);<\/li>\n<li>\u201cBatkivshyna\u201d (Fatherland) \u2013 8,18 per cent (1,196,303 votes);<\/li>\n<li>\u201cEuropean Solidarity\u201d (Yevropeiska solidarnist) \u2013 8,1 per cent (1,184,620 votes);<\/li>\n<li>\u201cHolos\u201d (Voice) \u2013 5,82 per cent (851,722 votes).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Who will seat in the Parliament?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Current convocation of the Verkhovna Rada is not just new but is truly renewed. Almost 80 per cent of the elected MPs will take parliamentary seats for the first time. Only 8,5 per cent of the future parliamentarians are lawyers and have previous experience in lawmaking. Same number of future MPs are unemployed. About six per cent work in education sector.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Five and a half per cent earlier worked in local executive bodies \u2013 regional and district-level state administrations. Five per cent of the future MPs are journalists and bloggers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Journalists and media professionals. <\/strong>Director general of the \u201c1+1\u201d TV channel Oleksandr Tkachenko was elected through the list of the \u201cServant of People\u201d party. Two more journalists of the same channel \u2013 Serhiy Shvets and Olha Vasylevska were elected in single-member districts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On board are also scandalous bloggers \u2013 Oleksandr Dubinskyi who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0wCvgkDJM0Y\">called<\/a>\u00a0\u201cGlory to Ukraine!\u201d a Nazi slogan, Euromaidan opponent Maksym Buzhanskyi and Oleksandr Kunytskyi notorious for his disputes with police recorded on video.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Showbiz and sports. <\/strong>The Parliament will also feature showbiz representatives: the leader of \u201cHolos\u201d Sviatoslav Vakarchuk, showman Oleksandr Skichko, a host and the leader of the \u201cMamakhokhotala\u201d TV production studio Roman Hryshchuk, restaurant owner and former TV host of \u201cRevizor\u201d (Inspector) show Mykola Tyshchenko and wedding photographer from Zaporizhzhia Serhiy Shtepa. Athletes are also in the celebrity list of future MPs. They are wrestler Zhan Belenyuk, Ukraine\u2019s first black MP, and track and field athlete Olha Saladukha. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Three pensioners also got parliamentary seats. Other parliamentarians-novices are entrepreneurs and donators of funds for charity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Young\u00a0<\/strong><strong>MPs<\/strong><strong>. <\/strong>Ukrainian MPs are growing younger. The average age of an MP of the 9<sup>th<\/sup>convocation is 41. It is seven and a half years less than in the previous convocation. The youngest MP \u2013 Sviatoslav Yurash from \u201cServant of People\u201d is 23.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However the older generation is not left out \u2013 three MPs are over 60. Among them is the \u201cdinosaur\u201d of the Ukrainian Parliament Yuliy Ioffe elected through the party list of \u201cOpposition Platform \u2013 For Life\u201d. He\u2019s been in the Parliament since the very first convocation, he only missed the 4<sup>th<\/sup>and the 5<sup>th<\/sup>convocations of Rada.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>A resort in Western Ukraine hosts the Parliamentarian School for \u201cservants of people\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img class=\"lazyload alignnone size-full wp-image-72904\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 1 1'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/uacrisis.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Navchannya-SN.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Last week the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) <a href=\"https:\/\/nv.ua\/ukr\/ukraine\/politics\/shkola-deputata-dlya-slugi-narodu-reportazh-z-truskavcya-foto-novini-ukrajini-50035198.html\">held a week-long intense training in Truskavets, Lviv region<\/a>, for the MPs elected from the \u201cServant of People\u201d party. Lecturers included KSE staff and invited speakers \u2013 Head of the State Customs Service Max Nefyodov, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Oleksiy Honcharuk, former Finance Minister, MP of the 8<sup>th<\/sup>convocation Viktor Pynzenyk and others.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In Truskavets the elected MPs were placed in 5-star hotels \u201cRixos-Prykarpattya\u201d and \u201cMirotel\u201d. Daily price for a double room is about UAH 3,5-4 thousand (approx. USD 137,8-157,6). All expenses for the week-long training were covered by the party. Neither the \u201cServant of People\u201d, nor the KSE revealed the price of the training. \u201cNovoe Vremya Business\u201d (New Times Business) calculated that the transfer to Truskavets, hotel rooms, training and the gala evening for the future MPs <a href=\"https:\/\/biz.nv.ua\/economics\/sluga-naroda-v-truskavce-skolko-potratyat-na-obuchenie-deputatov-novosti-ukrainy-50034922.html?utm_source=traqli&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=business-newsletter&amp;tqid=16KhPWIuAUgBeWixf8wBTPnekQMQQlw_ro0YfyAvgA\">may cost not less than UAH 8,5 million<\/a>\u00a0(approx. USD 334,7 thousand). The bigger part of the sum was spent on accommodation in the town\u2019s fanciest hotels.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On August 3 the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi came to visit the elected MPs from the &#8220;Servant of People&#8221; as they were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pravda.com.ua\/news\/2019\/08\/3\/7222690\/\">training in Truskavets<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Promises by the Office of the President: first steps of the future government<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Land market reform. <\/strong>Deputy Head of the Office of the President Oleksiy Honcharuk who is also one of the potential main candidates to the Prime Minister\u2019s post, in an interview to Bloomberg revealed economic plans of Volodymyr Zelenskyi\u2019s team. Honcharuk said the land market reform <a href=\"https:\/\/biz.nv.ua\/ukr\/economics\/moratoriy-na-prodazh-zemli-potribno-skasuvati-vzhe-v-2019-roci-ofis-prezidenta-50034924.html\">will be approved by the end of 2019<\/a>. He noted that the President\u2019s team is in search of the \u201cleast painful but most efficient option\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Sale of state-owned banks. <\/strong>Honcharuk also said that <a href=\"http:\/\/click.publisher-news.com\/PRrORmwBYfmwaMvjB4Kc\/209863222\/-1\/-1\/52121?attrs=0&amp;order=6\">state-owned banks need to be sold<\/a>. Minority shares of Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) and Ukrposhta (Ukraine Post) can be also put on sale.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Cooperation with the IMF. <\/strong>Honcharuk said that Ukraine plans to agree a new three- or four-year long cooperation program with the International Monetary Fund in September.
