Locals from Horlivka city, Donetsk region are protesting against DPR’s government. They appealed to the so-called power authorities to hold a meeting with citizens together with the representatives of the government and city officials on December 27. Locals are demanding to sack current city’s authorities and to hold new elections.
Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko has dismissed 78 heads of district state administrations in 18 Ukrainian regions. The respective executive orders have been published on the Head of State website. 11 heads of district state administrations have been dismissed in Ivano-Frankivsk region, 7 DSA heads have been dismissed in each region of Ternopil, Rivne, Lviv and Kirovohrad. 6 heads of district state administrations have been dismissed in Poltava, Chernihiv and Kherson regions, while 5 district heads were stripped of their duties in Kyiv and Khmelnytskyi regions, 3 – in Vinnytsia region, 2 – in Mykolaiv, Volyn and Cherkasy regions, and one in each Kharkiv, Sumy, Luhansk and Zhytomyr region.
A diarchy has been de-facto established in Antratsyt and Krasny Luch cities in Luhansk region as Russian Cossack and terrorists from LPR are fighting for the control over cities. “Russian’s army units are keeping neutrality as intervene in the conflict only in at the prospect of an open-armed stand-off,” the head of the Information resistance news website Dmytro Tymchuk informs.
General Prosecutor Vitaliy Yarema appointed Roman Fedyk as the prosecutor of Lviv region. Fedyk has been working on the position of Dnipropetrovsk region’s prosecutor since March. In August the representatives of the non-government organization “Dnepr-Euromaidan” asked Yarema to dismiss Fedyk as the prosecutor of Dnipropetrovsk region, blaming him for inactivity.
