More explosions and one of the few allowed to operate on the occupied territories humanitarian NGOs is banned by one of the self-proclaimed republics.

Number of ceasefire violations in Donbas remains high, even increasing by 5 percent compared to the previous week, said Alexander Hug, Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) to Ukraine, at a press briefing at Ukraine Crisis Media Center. “We registered 362 explosions from weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements: mortars, tanks, artillery and multiple launch rocket systems,” he said. “Our monitors observed 120 explosions in just 18 minutes in Yasynuvata on November 25. On the same day, they heard 73 blasts in Hnutovo within 20 minutes,” added Hug.

According to him, Russia-backed militant groups prohibited activity of international non-governmental organization People in Need on the temporarily occupied territories. This organization was providing assistance to the inhabitants of Donbas. “People taking such decisions must start listening to people whom they presumably represent. They must start listening to them and responding to their needs,” believes Hug.
