On September 30 – October 1, Kyiv will host the International Business Forum OLEROM FORUM 1. The speakers will be the most successful representatives of international businesses. The main guest is a co-founder of Apple Steve Wozniak. Olha Redziuk, a managing partner at OLEROM Company, announced this at a press briefing at Ukraine Crisis Media Center.

The main purpose of OLEROM FORUM 1 is to introduce Ukraine to the world-famous top managers, to form the external image of the country and promote the latest business ideas. “Involvement of well-known business people makes it possible to organize cooperation and new economic ties, and also makes investment policy in the country more favorable. They come to Ukraine because they see potential here,” noted Ms. Redziuk.

Among the invited speakers are Charles Adler, co-founder of the global crowdfunding platform Kickstarter; Marshal Goldsmith, the most titled business coach of the world; Ilja Laurs, co-founder of the Get Jar mobile application store and the Nextury Venture Foundation; Adam Cheyer, co-founder and vice-engineer at Siri Inc., and others. “They will speak about their ways in business, the problems they encountered. Some of their speeches will be inspirational, others will be about what should not be done on the way to achieving goals,” said Andrii Hodovanets, managing partner at OLEROM Company.

On the second day of the forum, all invited speakers will participate in panel discussions. The speakers of the Forum will be joined by representatives of Ukrainian state institutions and businesses. “They will discuss the possibilities of further cooperation within the country and the topic of investment attractiveness of projects that can be implemented in Ukraine. It is possible that people will have the opportunity not only to talk or listen to the speakers but also to find potential investors for their projects,” said Andrii Hodovanets.

One of the main goals of the Forum is to show Ukrainian youth prospects for development. 500 Ukrainian students will be able to visit the Forum for free. They were invited through contacts with ministries and universities. “Information was sent to all leading universities with a proposal to provide a list of people who, due to their knowledge and desires, are ready to take part in the Forum. There will be representatives from all over the country,” said Volodymyr Stavniuk, head of the Board at State Finance Institution for Innovations, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.

Young people will be able to present their business ideas at the startup competition, which will be held within the framework of the Forum. “If we talk about the role of youth at the Forum, then we will definitely find people who will come there not only to be inspired but to learn something and from this moment on will be ready to begin doing something and changing something,” said Richard Herts, advisor to UNICEF Ukraine (U-Report project).
