Mission Canada 2019 Preliminary report on the Parliamentary Election
Mission Canada 2019 has been monitoring the parliamentary election process in all regions of Ukraine since the beginning of June. The mission’s preliminary findings on the parliamentary election will be presented at a press conference after the election day. The mission would like to invite national and international media outlets to attend the press-conference where the Preliminary Report will be presented by:
- Head of Mission (HoM) The Honorable Lloyd Axworthy
- Deputy Head of Mission (D HoM) Olya Odynska-Grod
There will be photo/video and interview opportunities with the HoM and D HoM, as well as issuing a press release.

Background to CANADEM Election Observation
CANADEM has participated in over 130 missions in more than 40 countries, playing a crucial role in strengthening the democratic process globally. They have mobilized nearly 2000 election observers to Ukraine for 11 elections since 2004. CANADEM EOM operates in accordance with the “Declaration of Principles for International Election Observation”, adopted at the United Nations in 2005.
