Ukraine drones carry out strikes against more than 60 targets in Crimea

Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces carried out strikes against more than 60 targets in Crimea and across other occupied territories overnight on Tuesday, Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Major Robert Brovdi who goes by the call sign Magyar said in a post to social media.

“The night of June 23 in Crimea was fiery. Birds of the Unmanned Systems Forces stirred things up throughout the enemy’s operational depth. Middle-range strikes hit more than 60 sensitive enemy targets,” Brovdi said.

He said among the targets that were hit were three missile-carrying ships, four air defense systems, an oil depot in Kerch, gas distribution station, power substation, supply convoys and fuel trucks.

Ukrainian strikes hit three Orion reconnaissance and strike drones that carry glide bombs and small cruise missiles in Kerch. They also hit oil tanks at the Komysh-Burun thermal power plant in Kerch.

Other targets in Crimea include the Pantsir-S1 air defense system near Baherove, an S-300 missile launcher, a ZU-23 anti-aircraft gun near Kurortne and a Nebo-U radar system near Kerch.

The West Crimean power substation near Karyerne and the Simferopol gas distribution station in Trudove were also hit.

Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces said on social media Tuesday they had destroyed a railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal in Crimea.

“We’re sorry but here’s a breaking news story. The railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal in Crimea no longer exists,” the Special Operations Forces said.

Eyewitness accounts described hearing around 20 explosions in the bridge area overnight.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on June 18 that the Ukrainian military struck a railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal. Russia used the bridge for military transportation and logistical support of the occupying forces.

The facility is the most important bridge between Kerch and Dzhankoy. If it halts operation, the movement of cargo and passenger trains will be fully paralyzed, Telegram channel Crimean Wind (Krymskyi Veter).
