On December 16, at 10:00, a round table “From the State to the Prospects: Shaping the Legislative Agenda of Decentralization” will be held in Kyiv.
During the event, experts, representatives of legislative and executive authorities, public organizations, local governments and their associations will discuss the current state and prospects of legislative support for the activities of local governments for 2024-2025.
On the eve of the 12th session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the NGO “DESPRO” in partnership with the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine and with the support of the USAID HOVERLA Project held the Forum “Decentralization 2024. Legislative Agenda” with the participation of representatives of state authorities. At the forum, the findings of the survey of local self-government representatives’ opinions on the main legislative initiatives and priority draftlaws, the adoption of which should ensure further strengthening of the local self-government system and the continuation of the implementation of decentralization, were presented and discussed. The roundtable aims at evaluating and discussing progress in the adoption of legislation important for local self-government.
