Podcast: The story of an ordinary man from an ordinary city, facing an extraordinary fate

The story of an ordinary man from an ordinary city, facing an extraordinary fate.

Welcome to episode #2 of the Regional Voices of Wartime Ukraine’s podcast made by UCMC

This is the story of 65-year-old Anatoliy Voloshyn from Mariupol, who survived a serious injury, captivity, and ultimately decided to marry.

He “came to God” in 1994 and enlisted in the army in 2022. Anatoliy faced a difficult question: can a true believer kill, even if it means defending his country?

Anatoliy later put it this way: “It was a challenge for me, a difficult question for which I had no clear answer. But for myself, I decided: evil must be stopped.”
