Russia’s war on Ukraine. Day 11: Russia terrorizes civilians in Ukraine, tightens grip on its citizens

Russian troops terrorize civilians. The second attempt to evacuate civilians from besieged Mariupol failed as the Russian troops fired toward the evacuation corridor.

Eight civilians including a family with two kids were killed as the Russian troops opened fire during evacuation from Irpin near Kyiv.

“Today, as civilians from our city were evacuated in buses via Romanivka, the Russian troops fired toward the civilians. A family was killed by a mortar round. I witnessed how two kids and two adults were killed. Eight people were killed today,” Irpen mayor Oleksandr Markushyn is quoted as saying.

Russia strikes central Ukraine, far from border. On March 6, Russia conducted an airstrike on Vinnytsya, in central Ukraine and hit the airport. There are civilian and military casualties. No details on the casualty toll were available. Six people are trapped under debris.

Russia, terrorist state readies scenario to strike Russian civilians. Russia plans to strike residential areas and a bridge in Russia near the Ukraine border to fault the Ukrainian Armed Forces for the attack. The Kremlin seeks justification for its aggression in Ukraine, Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council said.

“As the military invasion of Ukraine actually failed, Russia plans to strike residential areas near the Ukraine border and fault the Ukrainian troops for the attack,” Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council said.

Thousands detained at anti-war rallies in Russia. As of March 6, at least 4,359 people were detained in anti-war rallies across Russia, more than during last year’s rallies on January 23 in support of Alexey Navalny.

Russia blocks Ukrainian news sites that publish photos and videos of the Russian troops killed or captured in Ukraine. Russia shows no willingness to bring back the remains of the soldiers killed in Ukraine. Propaganda on Russia’s television suggests there are “Nazi and drug addicts” in Ukraine.
