In besieged Mariupol, the Russian occupant attacked an 11-year-old girl – a villain shot the child directly in the face. The girl survived and is already undergoing rehabilitation.
This was reported by CNN UK, whose correspondent personally visited the pediatric clinic in Ukraine, UNIAN reports.
The bullet passed through the girl’s jaw and injured the root of the tongue. The girl cannot speak loudly – the vocal cords were damaged by the bullet.
It is reported that the child came under fire on March 16, when she and her mother, sister and grandmother tried to leave the besieged Mariupol. They were riding in the car of people helping with the evacuation, but at one of the checkpoints near Vasylivka, Zaporizhzhia region, they came across the Russian occupants.
The Russians opened fire on civilians without warning, then stopped the car, forced everyone to get out and started threatening. People stopped and left with their hands up, but the occupants were not interested in being civilians – one of the soldiers shot the girl in the face. However, the occupants allowed the bloodied girl to be taken to a hospital in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The girl used to do gymnastics. Now she can barely walk – the occupants have caused irreparable damage to her health.
Now the girl is with her parents in the bomb shelter of one of the hospitals with other children – infants and teenagers.
