Decommunization in Ukraine and its neighbor states

In 2015, Ukraine adopted De-Communization laws that set up a legal framework for breaking off from the country’s Soviet totalitarian past. But much is left to be done – ban the Communist Party, dismantle symbols of the Communist regime in public space, and conduct a comprehensive lustration. This infographic demonstrates how Ukraine’s neighbors succeeded or failed to overcome the burden of historic problems.
